周華健發過40張專輯，累積超過3000萬張的銷售量，曾有過艱辛的歲月，但他堅定說：「30年高潮低潮，從沒想過要轉行。」兒子周厚安隨他腳步進入演藝圈，演出電影《五星級魚干女》，說起兒子他坦言心裡有虧欠：某次兒子發生意外頭破血流，他卻忙於工作趕不回家，「至今吃飯聊天都還會和老婆說到兒子頭上的疤痕。」
周華健為慶祝出道30年，10月19日將在台北小巨蛋舉辦「今天唱什麼」演唱會，日前他接受中視《改變的起點》主持人哈遠儀專訪，從年幼音樂啟蒙，談到華語歌壇「國民歌王」地位，想起歌唱生涯最巔峰的時期，他自責說：「那時應該要放２年假陪小孩。」
